Attention all vinyl lovers: the Japanese crowdsourcing vinyl platform, Qrates, has fused modern and old school listening practices to revolutionize the industry and make user experience more interactive. Their newly launched platform Vinylize.it gives fans the opportunity to own records of their favorite lesser-known artists, and essentially request records on-demand.
Here's how it works: fans upload any SoundCloud track to Qrates. Once it reaches the support of 20-30 members, Qrates seeks out the artist to get their approval and to send high-quality, vinyl-ready audio files. With at least 100 pre-orders, the records are pressed and distributed, and listeners can own the music they love on vinyl. Find our more here.
